Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle has set his sights on winning more trophies for the team, DAILY POST reports.
Chelle guided the West Africans to win the Unity Cup invitational tournament following a thrilling 5-4 penalty shootout win over the Reggae Boys of Jamaica on Saturday night.
The Super Eagles led twice through Moses Simon, and Samuel Chukwueze but were pegged back by their opponent on both occasion.
The game went into extra-time after 90 minutes, with the three-time African champions converting all four spot kicks, and Jamaica netting only four.
Chelle hopes the Unity Cup trophy will be the beginning of many more with the Super Eagles.
“In reality, this is my first trophy as a coach,” Chelle told Oga Nla Media after the match.
“When I was a player, I won trophies, but this is my first as a coach. I hope with this, I can bring more trophies for Nigeria.”
