
Niger Tornadoes technical adviser Majin Mohammed, said that the most important thing for the club is to put the Bako Kontagora Stadium in order before the commencement of the 2025-26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
Mohammed stated that the failure of the team to play at their home ground in Minna affected their performance in the just concluded NPFL season.
DAILY POST recalls that Niger Tornadoes their home matches in Minna, Kaduna and Lafia last season.
The Ikon Allah Boys escaped relegation on the final day of last season.
“The season was characterized by ups and downs,” Mohammed told DAILY POST.
“We started the season strongly securing crucial wins in some openly away matches, we were playing our home matches at home ground late Bako kontagora stadium, until we had problem with our stadium not meeting NPFL requirements, and we were taking to Kaduna for our home matches , but at the end of the day we thank God we were able to maintain our NPFL status.
“The next thing is for the management is to see how we we can put our stadium in good condition to meet up with NPFL requirements.”
