Tinubu Has Exposed Him, Showing That Wike Is Unreliable, Tinubu May Abandon Him Soon – Lamido

In a fiery criticism directed at the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, former Governor of Jigawa State and founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Sule Lamido, has stated that Wike’s actions have not only betrayed the PDP but also exposed his political shallowness.

Lamido made these remarks in a recent interview published by Vanguard Newspaper, where he addressed the internal crises rocking the PDP and the controversial role Wike has played in them.

The former governor was particularly reacting to the recent sealing of the PDP National Secretariat—a move widely linked to Wike—just before a scheduled National Executive Council (NEC) meeting. Lamido described the action as “destructive” and “un-African,” criticizing Wike for turning against the party that brought him to national relevance. According to Lamido, Wike’s behaviour is rooted in a warped sense of entitlement and a disregard for the values that once defined Nigerian political culture.

Interestingly, Lamido acknowledged the intervention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who ordered the reopening of the PDP headquarters. He described the development as ironic, given that Wike’s current alignment appears to be in service to the APC-led government.

“The very man Wike is trying to please by destroying his own political family is the one saying, ‘No, you can’t do that.’ So, in a way, Tinubu has exposed him – showing that Wike is unreliable, without tradition, without pedigree. And now, Tinubu too may likely abandon him very soon,” Lamido stated. WATCH THE VIDEO HERE
