Mr. Habila Jatau, the father of a 17-year-old girl, Fatima Jatau, who was among the survivors of a government secondary school in Gassol Local Government Area that collapsed amid WAEC papers, revealed that his daughter was bleeding and shaking when he found her, and his daughter kept saying he should not let her die. Mr. Jatau said he can’t forget the moment she made the statement.

As reported by the Punch News, Mr. Jatau said, “When I found her, she was bleeding and shaking. She kept saying, “Daddy, don’t let me die.”

While narrating the incident, Ahmed Bello, an NYSC member who was also part of the victims, said he heard a loud crack, and what happened next was that the roof flew away and the wall began collapsing. He said he thought he was going to die.

Ahmed noted that there was blood everywhere. He said one of the girls who was also writing the WAEC was not moving, so he thought she was dead. WATCH THE VIDEO
