“My husband opens a shop for me, but each time we have a misunderstanding, he’ll ask for the keys & lock-up my shop cuz he opened it for me. Each time he does this, I have to start looking for people to help me beg him to open it cuz i don’t want to lose my customers.
I’m a fashion designer who has a lot of customers & they’re paying well cuz I know how to sew perfectly well. My mom taught me not to quarrel with him anytime he starts with his attitude, so he won’t lock the shop, & that I should start saving money from the shop.
Before now, I had no savings at all. Cuz i did tell him all the money I make per day & we’ll use it together cuz he saves all his salary & concentrates on the money I make. We’ve been married for 4 years & have 1 child.
Now, what I do is if I sew 3 clothes, I will tell him I made 1 & remit money for one cloth & keep the other two as my savings. But later, I started complaining to him that there’s no sales while I’m making a lot of money in this business & Would you believe I made 6 million in 3 years in savings? Later, I went to open another account where I’m currently saving the money cuz he knows the PIN on my other banks, & sometimes he uses my account even without my permission.
The Little money i save in the accounts where he knows the pin , he suddenly started mismanaging it until now nothing is left there anymore, Even from his own personal accounts which i have no clue of how much he has or had in there, he complains of being broke lately. I don’t even know what he does with money coz he doesn’t discuss it with me either.
Now he plans to sale the house that we live in. So we can start renting. It’s the only house that we own. I actually plan to buy the house in my name & have tenants put there. I’ve discussed it with my mom & she agreed I’m in the right track but i just feel guilty if this is actually the right step I’m taking
