Air Peace: I was recording those women’s sobs and laments while they were unaware of it—Oshiomhole

Following a contentious episode involving Air Peace airline at Lagos airport, Senator Adams Oshiomhole has spoken his opinions..CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

The senator asserted that he defended ordinary Nigerians from the airline’s unjust treatment.

Oshiomhole claims that in a video that Voice TV posted, a number of customers were instructed to pay more to catch the next aircraft, despite the fact that the delay wasn’t their fault. He clarified that this was an obvious instance of passengers being extorted rather than a situation of individuals missing their flights. “In other countries, if an airline is unable to carry you, they offer you accommodations and move you to the next flight without charging you extra,” he said.

Many passengers, including pregnant women, were crying in frustration, he revealed. Oshiomhole was using his phone to record the event, although the airline employees were unaware of this. He promised to make the recordings public to demonstrate the appalling treatment of people. “This country is like, I was recording it when those women were crying and lamenting, but they didn’t know it,” he remarked.

Oshiomhole added that he informed the Minister of Aviation about the event. He clarified that his role as a senator is to defend and advocate for Nigerians, not to get preferential treatment. He said, “They assumed that if they treated me well, I would remain silent, but I refused.” According to the senator, he has no regrets and thinks that leaders shouldn’t make people’s suffering worse. “I speak for Nigerians, and wherever we go, we have to act in a way that serves the public interest,” he said.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
