Report: Israel was successful in tricking senior Iranian air force leaders into meeting before the strike: ReportIsrael was successful in tricking senior Iranian air force leaders into meeting before the strike.

A senior Israeli security official told Fox News that Israel carried out a complex deception operation to entice senior commanders of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) air force to meet at an underground command centre, which was later the target of a devastating strike, according to a report by The Times of Israel..CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

The operation highlights Israel’s sophisticated intelligence capabilities in its intensifying battle with Iran, as Defence Minister Israel Katz has stated that it eliminated the majority of the IRGC’s air force leadership. According to the official, “we conducted particular activities to help us learn more about them, and then used that information to influence their behaviour.” “More importantly, we knew how to keep them there, even though we knew this would lead to their meeting.”

The operation was more successful than anticipated; in addition to neutralising important IRGC leaders, the strike destroyed ballistic missiles and air defence equipment that were meant to be used against Israel. As part of a larger campaign, the IDF used about 200 aircraft and more than 330 munitions to strike more than 100 Iranian targets. The planned attack came after Iran launched more than 100 drones against Israel, which prompted the Israeli Air Force (IAF) to mount a strong defence that included mid-air refuelling over Syria and drone interceptions along the Syrian border.

According to Maj. Gen. Shlomi Binder, who characterised the fight as a “existential” struggle against Iran’s conventional and nuclear threats, the accuracy of the operation is indicative of the IDF’s intelligence-driven policy. Fears of reprisal have increased in response to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s promise to make Israel “regret” its actions and the injury of a senior aide to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The Czech Republic, Germany, and the United States have all stated their support for Israel’s defensive measures, pointing to Iran’s support for terrorist organisations and nuclear aspirations. The international community is keeping a close eye on the situation. The strikes were hailed as “excellent” by U.S. President Donald Trump, while Lebanon cautioned Hezbollah from supporting Iran’s reaction. To avoid a wider confrontation, the European Union and the United Nations have called for de-escalation.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
