The Blood Sisters star took to Instagram on Friday to mark the milestone, sharing a series of photos of Abasi along with a detailed list titled “40 reasons why I love you.”
The emotional post offered fans a glimpse into their relationship, filled with admiration, inside jokes and shared dreams.
She began, “My forever guy turns 40 today🤎 The man who makes me laugh, dream, and feel safe all at once. Here are 40 reasons why I love you… though let’s be honest, I could’ve kept going.”
In the list, Ini praised her husband’s heart, integrity, intelligence, faith, and love for music. She also highlighted his parenting skills and his resilience, saying, “Not many people could have survived what you’ve had to endure.”
Some humorous and tender mentions included, “I love how you’ve started sending me memes and videos on Instagram,” and “I love that you cried at our wedding… Even though you keep denying it lol.”
Concluding her post, Ini wrote, “Happy Birthday baby … as usual, I have chocolates for you 🤭😝”
Ini Dima-Okojie and Abasi Ene-Obong, founder of genomics company 54gene, got married in May 2022 in a glamorous ceremony attended by Nollywood stars. The couple got engaged in 2021 and Ini has consistently described him as her rock.
Speaking during a July 2024 interview, she said, “My husband is the most supportive husband… He’s like ‘babe, you’ll be fine … we will deal with it.’”
Her remark came as she opened up about her recurring struggle with fibroids, a condition she was first diagnosed with in 2017. Ini initially delayed surgery but eventually underwent the procedure in 2020 after the fibroids caused visible abdominal swelling.
“My journey with fibroid… I found out I had fibroids in 2017… by March 2020 … the bulge had gotten bigger … I decided to get another pelvic scan… I had the surgery… it was successful and I’m now healing slowly but surely,” she shared at the time.
In 2024, she disclosed that the fibroids had returned. Since then, the actress has been vocal about the need for awareness, offering to sponsor pelvic scans and educating the public.
She also addressed misconceptions, noting that fibroids do not automatically lead to infertility and that only a small percentage of cases affect fertility, depending on their size and location.
Through it all, Ini credits her husband for standing by her, championing her dreams and showing up in every way that matters.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
