The birthday party themed, “A Life of Grace, Purpose and Endless Love,” began with a solemn Thanksgiving Mass at the Catholic Church of Assumption, Falomo, Ikoyi, and crescendoed into a vibrant dinner dance at the Center Point Multipurpose Hall, Ikoyi, Lagos.

One of the highlights of the evening was when the celebrant arrived, dancing with radiant poise in a flowing emerald green gown, a gold chain purse on her arm, and a smile that lit up the hall.

As old-school classics such as Sweet Mother and I Wanna Dance with Somebody filled the air, the “birthday girl” made her way around the room, hugging guests, and blowing kisses.

Among the notable attendees at the event were the First Ladies of Ogun and Lagos states; Bamidele Abiodun and Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu respectively.

In her tribute, Sanwo-Olu remarked, “Thank you for being the voice of the voiceless and the hope of the hopeless,”

In a touching moment, the birthday cake was cut by Abiodun, who raised a toast in Fatayi-Williams’ honour.

“She is a woman of class, of conscience, and community spirit. We raise our glasses to a life of meaningful legacy,” she said.

Marie and her husband appreciated the guest as they departed from the venue.

“I am deeply humbled. At 70, I still feel the love of 17. God has truly been good,” she said with misty eyes.

Other guests at the event include the Chief Executive Officer of ARCO Group, Alfred Okoigun, and his wife, Julie; CEO of Albonaz Group, Alvin Unuane; GMD of TFC, Adekunle Adedayo; Chairman of IAL Nigeria Limited, Ismail Lawal; Salamatu Gbajabiamila, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Timi Alaibe, Abiye Sekibo, and Tom Ikimi, among others.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
