Video: Paul Pogba ‘Agrees Two-Year Deal With Champions League Club

According to reports, Paul Pogba has agreed to a two-year contract with a new club, paving the way for his comeback to professional football.

The former Manchester United and Juventus midfielder was given a four-year doping penalty after failing a positive drug test, but his suspension was ultimately reduced to just 18 months.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport’s final decision established that Pogba had mistakenly taken DHEA, a testosterone-boosting chemical on WADA’s forbidden list. However, the ruling stated that DHEA affects mainly females.

However, when his sentence was formally lifted earlier this year, he has been connected with a comeback to the game this summer, and according to French outlet Le Parisien, he has reached an agreement with Monaco.

According to the source, he made’significant financial sacrifices’ to sign a contract with the Ligue 1 club and ensure his return.

The two parties are reported to have been in talks for several days before finally agreeing on the financials on Sunday.

The report also states that the player traveled to the Principality earlier in June to meet with club officials and had begun the process of planning his life and the logistics of a move, including details such as a new driver, where he would live, and what type of security he would put in place.

Though he hasn’t played a game since September 2023, he has been providing updates on his training regime on social media in an attempt to restart his football career.

Despite representing France 91 times and winning the World Cup with Les Bleus in 2018, he has never actually played in the country’s top-flight. Watch Video of the DEAL
