The video, which went viral earlier this week, has drawn a lot of public attention and prompted questions about the Force’s professionalism.

The behaviour of the officers in the video is seen to be a breach of the discipline expected of law enforcement personnel, according to a statement signed by Force Public Relations Officer Olumuyiwa Adejobi and posted on the police’s official X (previously Twitter) profile. The behaviour that was recorded was “inconsistent with the professional standards and decorum expected of personnel,” the statement stressed.

Adejobi said that in order to identify the police involved and conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the video’s recording, administrative procedures had been initiated.

Punch Online, however, notes that the video is similar to material the actress previously posted as part of the marketing for a movie called Queen of Guns, which she started promoting about two months ago.

On her Instagram page, Okorie shared a promotional video with the caption, “Day 1: Lights, camera, action! Queen of Guns is prepared to astound you. Are you prepared? The employment of actual, armed police officers has sparked harsh criticism and raised concerns about the abuse of law enforcement in entertainment situations, despite this apparent connection to a fake production. The police spokesperson came to the conclusion that once the inquiry reveals how and why the officers participated in the situation, disciplinary action will be taken where required..
