Samuel Otasi, a 42-year-old resident of Bayelsa state, is accused of poisoning his three boys. After a church prophecy said they were wizards, he made the dramatic step.
With the assistance of a family member, Otasi allegedly let his sons, ages 10, 12, and 14, ingest the lethal insecticide Sniper, according to police at the Igbogini Divisional Headquarters. George Odugo, who said in church that the children had been enchanted by their mother to ruin his life and destiny, is said to have prophesied the terrifying deed. The surviving infant came critically ill and unresponsive, according to the medical workers who treated him. One of the lads amazingly survived and escaped from the bush where they were poisoned and bound, according to TVC. He subsequently disclosed how his father and uncle made them consume the poison, causing their bodies to bear obvious rope scars.
He told officials that his two siblings were still in the bush after he recovered. The other two lads had already passed away when the police showed up. When the Bayelsa State Commissioner of Police visited the crime scene, he showed reporters the wooden crates that were used to transport their bodies from the jungle. Innocent lives should never be the target of misplaced spiritual claims, police have cautioned parents to keep their marital matters apart from their kids. Samuel Otasi, the suspect, is still being held and is anticipated to go to trial. At the police station, his guy mother, who lost two grandsons in the event and now had her son in custody, sobbed..
