After a video of a police officer abusing a lady went viral, SP Bright Edafe, the spokesperson for the Delta State Police Command, came out. The woman, wearing a black top and white shorts, is seen being pushed into a police van by the officer. It was learnt that the woman was wearing inappropriate attire when the officer tried to arrest her.
Some Nigerians believed that the police was detaining the woman for wearing obscene attire since the command had announced plans to begin arresting persons who do so. The woman’s buddy, dressed in a shirt and shorts, can also be seen on the video trying to stop the officer from conducting the arrest. Using his X account, Edafe retorted that there was no proof in the video that the woman had been arrested for wearing inappropriate attire. There’s no reason to think that improper attire is the cause of this. Why isn’t the other woman being harassed, we could wonder? Are they dressed differently?..CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
