However, he was discovered dead on Sunday morning. Hours after losing a fight, a Mexican boxer was discovered dead inside his hotel room. According to information obtained, Pedro Antonio “Tony” Rodriguez, a boxer, engaged Phillip Vela in a bout known as the “Brawl in the Barrio” over the weekend in Phoenix, Arizona.
Rodriguez, 37, was the underdog in the bout, which was arranged by Del Sol Boxing Promotions and commissioned by the Arizona Boxing and MMA Commission. He faced a younger, unbeaten star. After six rounds, Vela, 21, also known as the Sin City Sicilian, won by unanimous decision, improving his record to 4-0. After the altercation, Rodriguez went back to his hotel room and made plans to go out to dinner, but when hotel employees went into his room on Sunday morning, they discovered that he had passed away, according to Spanish publication Marca.
According to Marca, Rodriguez did not show up for dinner, and when he did not show up for the transportation that was supposed to take him to the airport, staff members went into his room. It has not yet been determined whether the occurrence had anything to do with the fight; police are still investigating the cause of death. Regarding the passing of her husband, who was employed by the Mexican Social Security Institute, Rodriguez’s wife has come out. “He called me when his fight ended,” she claimed, implying that the altercation might have been the cause.
He spoke with me on a video call even after the show ended and he was heading to the hotel. The only thing I discussed with him was that they were going to pick them up to take them to the airport at 3:30 in the morning, so he told me he was going out to get food and would return. “I’m not sure what actually happened, but it was some sort of blow.” I have no idea what took place. “I am also perplexed.” To find out what the report says, we must wait till tomorrow. During his career, Rodriguez played in 45 games, winning 15 and losing 26. He made his debut in 2007 and went through 208 rounds overall.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
