According to a report by renowned blogger, Temi Sobola, the tragic incident occurred around 11pm on July 1, 2025.
The blogger reported that on the day of the incident, Lucky, the grandmother’s son-in-law, was getting ready for work.
Upon seeing her, he followed her inside, prompting her to ask if he wasn’t heading to work.
Afterwards, upon getting inside, Lucky stabbed his mother-in-law repeatedly in various parts of her body, but she managed to escape from the house.
However, upon the arrival of security operatives, a check of the house revealed that the grandmother had passed away, while her two grandchildren were found unhurt.
Lucky was arrested the next day in a wooded area, where he was found with apparent self-inflicted injuries.
