A horrifying incident has occurred in India where a husband is alleged to have beheaded his wife before handing her severed head to the police.
Shankar, 28, who lives in Hennagara near Bengaluru, is believed to have committed this horrific act after finding his wife in an intimate situation with another man at their rented home. Local police sources suggest the couple had a “loving marriage” and had recently moved to the area.
On the evening of June 3, Shankar reportedly left for work and returned late to find his partner allegedly with another man. After assaulting both individuals, he is said to have decapitated his wife before turning himself in at the Suryanagar Police Station.
Multiple reports suggest they were dealing with a series of marital problems at the time. The woman had expressed a wish to separate but continued to visit the house regularly, leading to ongoing disputes, neighbours have said.

After the incident, it’s reported Shankar rode his motorbike to the local police station with his wife’s severed head and handed himself over to the authorities. Suryanagar police have launched an investigation into the case and further details will be released in due course.
In a similar incident in South Dakota, US, 34-year-old Bowen Fladland is accused of decapitating his mother, Marlene Fladland, 70, before burying her body in the front garden of his home.
He was charged earlier this month with first-degree and second-degree murder. The victim’s body was discovered by police on July 8, but detectives believe she died at least three days prior.

Ewan Methven repeatedly stabbed and strangled 21 year old Phoenix Spencer-Horn at her home in East Kilbride.
The High Court in Glasgow heard how Methven attacked his partner with three knives, stabbing her 20 times. He severed her head before attempting to dismember her body.
He told a 999 operator he had been “trying to muster up the courage to phone” after he claimed he “totally blacked out through the thing.”
