For many people, eggs are a great addition to a balanced diet. However, for others, eating eggs might do more harm than good — especially if you have certain medical conditions.

If you suffer from egg allergies, this one is a no-brainer. Egg allergies are more common in children but can also affect adults. For allergic individuals, consuming eggs — even in small amounts — can cause skin rashes, stomach upset, breathing difficulty, or even life-threatening reactions.

It’s important to check food labels because eggs can be hidden in many processed foods.

People with high cholesterol or heart disease should also be cautious. Egg yolks are high in cholesterol. While recent studies suggest moderate egg consumption may not be harmful for everyone, those with heart problems or a family history of cardiovascular disease are often advised to limit or avoid egg yolks.

Too much cholesterol in the blood can lead to clogged arteries, increasing the risk of heart attack or stroke.

If you have diabetes, particularly type 2, you should consult your doctor before consuming eggs regularly.
