The quiet town of Ogbunike in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State was thrown into shock earlier this week after the discovery of a pregnant nurse’s mutilated body, alongside human parts hidden in a shrine, sparking widespread fear and outrage across the state.
According to the Anambra State Police Command, a young woman identified as Somtochukwu Nwafor, 24, was arrested in connection with the heinous act. During police interrogation, she confessed to being the girlfriend of Chiemerie Obika Elobisi, the prime suspect who is now on the run. Her confession reportedly led authorities to a native doctor’s shrine, where human parts were recovered, further confirming fears of ritualistic activities.
A police spokesperson described the discovery as “horrific” and vowed that all those involved will be brought to justice. “This is a brutal crime. We urge anyone with information on the whereabouts of the prime suspect to come forward,” the spokesperson said.

Investigations are still ongoing as police intensify their search for the fleeing suspect and possible accomplices. Meanwhile, residents of Ogbunike have called for spiritual cleansing of the area and increased police presence…CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
