The decision, which was made public on Tuesday, represents a major shift in the panel’s leadership. The commission is in charge of making sure that public positions and socioeconomic facilities are distributed fairly throughout the nation. President Tinubu retained Kayode Oladele of Ogun State as commissioner and named Mohammed Musa as the Commission’s secretary in the same announcement. President Tinubu initially appointed Oladele, a former member of the House of Representatives, to the FCC in 2024.
After Dankaka’s first term as chairman of the commission ended, he had been acting in that capacity. The modifications are thought to be a component of Tinubu’s larger plan to restructure the leadership of important federal commissions and agencies. The presidency highlighted that the selections were made in accordance with the administration’s commitment to bolstering governance and guaranteeing efficiency in public service, even though Dankaka’s dismissal was not officially justified.
