The rumours began after videos from the launch of her fashion store surfaced online last week. In the clips, some social media users pointed out what they believed was a baby bump and quickly raised questions about her being pregnant again.
Responding to the chatter, Ashabi dismissed the claims, clarifying that she is not pregnant. The mother of two stressed that she is currently taking a break from childbirth and intends to wait before expanding her family again.
She said:
“Pregnant keh? Someone even said ashabi tunti loyun modaran as how? Na u dey feed d ones I born or u follow me to labour room? Make una no tie food 4 my belle abeg oooo. No rush, make I rest small, na twins I wan do next.”
Ashabi, who shares two children with Portable, has often expressed deep affection for her kids. During the last Easter celebration, she penned an emotional note to them, describing her children as “the definition of perfection” and one of the greatest blessings of her life. She also showered them with heartfelt prayers and reaffirmed her love.
It will be recalled that Ashabi and Portable welcomed their second child, a baby girl, in 2024. The singer announced the birth on Instagram, sharing maternity photos and a video of their newborn while thanking God for blessing him with another princess. Ashabi, on her part, expressed overwhelming joy at her daughter’s arrival, referring to her as her “playmate.”
When her daughter turned six months old, Ashabi reflected on her name, revealing that although the circumstances around it were initially complicated, God perfected everything. She added that one day she would share the full story behind the name.
