The incident occurred in Auchi, Edo State, where a Dangote truck allegedly struck Phyna’s younger sister, Ruth Otabor.
The accident resulted in the amputation of one of Ruth’s legs and posed a risk to her other leg.
The management of Dangote Group has responded to Phyna’s claim about its truck hitting her younger sister, Ruth Otabor.
Phyna stated that the accident happened in Auchi, Edo State, when a Dangote truck knocked down her sister, resulting in the amputation of one leg and putting the other leg at potential risk.
In a statement, Dangote Group revealed that senior officials, along with the insurance team, visited Ruth and her sister at the hospital.
“Following the recent accident in Auchi, Edo State, which sadly resulted in injury to Mrs. Ruth Otabor, senior officials from Dangote Cement PLC, together with our insurance team, promptly visited the scene and engaged with law enforcement agencies,” the statement said.
Dangote Cement also reaffirmed its commitment to the well-being of the affected individuals, assuring full support for Phyna’s sister’s medical care and providing appropriate compensation in line with the company’s welfare policy.
