She claims that when the filmmaker contacted her regarding the video, she turned him down right away. She claimed to know little about the music and to be uninterested. She said that she had not heard any of 2Baba’s solo work at the time and that he had recently quit the band Plantashun Boiz. She claimed to have no idea what African Queen was. Later that day, according to Jegede, her buddy Michael urged her to think again. She claimed that Michael told her it was a fantastic opportunity and was thrilled with the music. She claimed that his response caused her to reconsider.
What she said, “I simply said, ‘No, I’m not interested,’ when the African Queen director first called,” she stated. Then, later that same day, as they had a filming date of approximately 9:00 a.m. the following day.
