She describes how she was left in shock and bewildered when a man who had at first been courteous and kind used his position of trust to harass her while her mother was away. Victory says on the Lucky Udu Experience that her mother had married a man who was originally very kind to her, taking her up from school and buying her presents. But Victory’s behaviour changed when her mother left him to look after her newborn sibling while she went to the village.

I was liked by the man my mum was preparing to marry’, she added. He would come see me at school, buy me biscuits and candy, and come get me. He was quite kind. However, I was left in my stepfather’s care after my mother gave birth and brought my younger brother to the village. “Do you want your breast to be bigger?” he asked me over the phone one day. I simply replied “yes” without really understanding what that meant. The next thing I knew, he was squeezing and stroking my breast. I was stunned.
