On October 2, 2024, Coxon arrived a home in Wallsend to assist a woman with a home birth.
Over the next two days, police allege she ignored signs of complications and requests from the mother to go to the hospital.
The mother eventually went to John Hunter Hospital on October 4, where the baby was delivered via emergency caesarean.
Tragically, the baby died in hospital on October 10, 2024, after suffering significant medical coplications.
Coxon was arrested on August 14, 2025, nearly a year after the incident.
She has been granted conditional bail, which includes surrendering her passports and a ban on practicing or educating others about birth or pregnancy.
Her case is set to return to court in October 2025.
Coxon had gained a following online by sharing content about motherhood, fitness, and home births—including her own twin birth experience, which went viral in 2022.
