Before sending me the money, I told Emmanuel to come over first, but he refused. Jennifer

The Nigerian woman who recently made headlines after a courtroom video revealed that she was being sued by a guy for allegedly breaking a promise has now acknowledged the occurrence……CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

In the widely shared video, she was sentenced to seven years in prison or face an N450,000 fine for not going to see a man who accused her of collecting his transit fee. The man, who went by Emmanuel, said she had agreed to pay him N50,000 for transportation but had broken the agreement.

The woman, known as Jennifer, has now spoken up and given her version of events in another widely shared video. She explained that although they were friends, she had never met Emmanuel in person and that their connection had begun online. She claims that Emmanuel’s insistence that she travel from her Asaba residence to meet him in Abuja was the first sign of the whole issue. She clarified that she had declined, arguing that it was more fitting for him to come see her first because they had never met in person. Jennifer said that Emmanuel flatly denied her proposal, saying he was unable to “visit a woman.”

She claimed that Emmanuel abruptly deposited N50,000 to her bank account in spite of her rejection, stating that it was for her transportation and that he anticipated her arriving in Abuja the next day. “I will just make this very short because this whole thing is circulating on the internet,” Jennifer remarked, recounting her encounter. I shall thus summarise the entire sob story in a brief manner. Emmanuel paid for my transportation so he could see me, but I have never met him in person and he is a friend I made online, so I don’t really know him.

She went on to say, “So I told Emmanuel to come over to my city first before he sent that money to me, but he said no, that he could not go to visit a woman.” He later informed me that he wanted me to visit, but I told him that I couldn’t go see a man I had never met and didn’t truly know. Suddenly, this person texted me N50,000 saying that he wanted to see me the following day and that this was my mode of transportation. According to Jennifer, she didn’t reply to the transfer or answer Emmanuel’s follow-up texts asking why she hadn’t gone.

She claimed that she was uncomfortable with the circumstance and decided not to participate any longer. But when Emmanuel’s buddies started calling her repeatedly with threats, accusing her of purposefully ignoring him after taking his money, things became heated. Jennifer claimed that she attempted to settle the issue by agreeing to return the N50,000 because she felt threatened and under pressure. She emphasised that she had only felt uneasy about seeing someone she had never seen in person and that her actions were not meant to be dishonest or embarrassing to Emmanuel……CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
