According to Ezeonyido, who spoke in an interview with TV360 Nigeria, the traffickers once left them in the desert. He claimed that they spent over a month stranded in a valley between two rocks. He claimed that they lost almost everything they owned during this time. According to Ezeonyido, some people were able to live by concealing modest goods. He claimed that he was also able to conceal from the robbers the small amount of money he had.
According to Ezeonyido: “They buried us between two boulders and left us there for about a month, claiming the path wasn’t clear. They robbed us while we were in a valley, and we lost all we owned.
