In an interview with Arise TV, Yusuf claimed that despite the fact that the state had just reported the deaths of more than 600 children in 2025 as a result of severe malnutrition, the governor joined other state authorities in dancing to Tinubu’s praise song, “Omo Ologo,” during President Tinubu’s visit to Katsina. Yusuf said that even if millions of children in Niger State are reportedly suffering from malnutrition and starvation, the governor of the state is one of those who dances to Tinubu’s praise song.
As Yusuf put it: “What do all the governors do? What do they do during the president’s visit? Rather than speaking the truth to the president, they continue to dance Omo Ologo. In Katsina, where 652 children perished, he spent the night there and they did nothing but dance. When he arrived in Kaduna, people were performing Omo Ologo.
