Jason was transported to the hospital in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead. His death has been ruled an accident, Huntington County Coroner’s Office said. ‘The Huntington County Coroner’s Office extend[s] their deepest sympathies to the Weaver family and friends,’ a press release said.

In January, an eight-year-old Florida boy, Michael Millett , was mauled to death by a pair of pit bulls that were terrorizing his neighborhood. Michael and his friend were riding bikes near his Central Florida home when they saw the killer dogs and went to pet them, the Volusia County Sheriff’s office said.

The dogs were initially friendly, but then viciously attacked little Michael. Witnesses reportedly attempted CPR on the boy as police and animal control chased the dogs and put them in quarantine. One dog was described as a pit bull and the other as a mixed breed.
