“I am sixty-three years old, and no one has ever heard me criticise anyone.” – Oyakhilome

The founder of LoveWorld Incorporated, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has warned Christians against the harmful practices of tailbearing, slander, and backbiting, characterising them as poisonous tendencies that resemble an asp’s sting……CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

Oyakhilome used Romans 3:13 when he said, “The poison of asp is under their lips,” during a recent speech. The venom of asp is frequently spoken by a large number of people in this globe. Additionally, it hurts like an asp’s sting.

He emphasised that although defamation and hate speech have destroyed families, churches, and even lives, believers must learn to rise above such poison. “What are you discussing? I am referring to backbiting. I am referring to tailbearing. He underlined, “I’m talking about slandering.” Oyakhilome emphasised his dedication to avoiding criticism and rumours when reflecting on his decades of ministry. The ministry is where I’ve been. I am sixty-three years old. I will have served in the ministry for sixty-three years on August 8th. No one has ever heard me criticise someone in my 63 years. I pray for them, even though they may gossip about me,” he stated.

The pastor asserted that in order for believers to demonstrate spiritual maturity, they must refuse to let gossip or slander drag them down. He clarified that although unfounded allegations might cause great pain, a Christian’s focus shouldn’t be diverted by them. It may hurt like hell to backbite, tailbear, or slander someone, but you have the ability to walk on them. He insisted, “Just walk all over it.”

Oyakhilome continued by sharing a personal belief about how to deal with harmful rumours. “I said that to people twenty-five years ago, and I still say it today. I won’t even refute it if they tell me that I killed my grandmother. I will simply continue to shout, give thanks to God, and continue to walk with the Lord. Allow them to express themselves. Give thanks to God for the win. He reminded believers of their power in Christ as he wrapped up. “Thou shalt tread upon the lion and the adder,” he added, quoting scripture. According to Oyakhilome, this is a call for believers to live above criticism, rumours, and all other forms of defamation in order to concentrate on God’s plan and triumph……CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
