According to a report by myjoyonline.com, the Central North Regional Police Command disclosed this during a media briefing.

Police said they acted on a tip-off and raided a location in Nipanekro near Subin, uncovering what they described as a network of modern-day slavery.

“The young women were allegedly forced to meet demanding daily revenue targets, with failure resulting in grotesque punishment. The victims were reportedly subjected to varying daily financial quotas, GH¢1,000 on Mondays and GH¢500 on other days of the week.

“Of those arrested, 33 are Nigerian women aged between 16 and 25, allegedly coerced into prostitution. The remaining six are men suspected of involvement in drug-related activities,” police added.

Victims further revealed that they were compelled to perform naked oath-taking rituals at a shrine, meant to prevent them from escaping, with threats of severe mental harm should they attempt to flee.

Police estimate that each woman was forced to have sexual encounters with up to 20 men daily in order to meet the set quotas.

The six men arrested are believed to have facilitated the operation through drug trafficking and remain in police custody pending further investigations, according to the report……CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
