EPL: Arteta admits title race ‘difficult’ with Arsenal five points behind Liverpool

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has admitted it would be “difficult” for his team in the title race.

Arteta was speaking after their 1-1 draw with Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Gunners went behind early to an Erling Haaland strike before Gabriel Martinelli stepped off the bench to grab a late equaliser.

The result means Arsenal have 10 points, five fewer than Liverpool, who have won all five matches so far.

Arteta said, “We cannot control that. They win every match.

“It’s going to be very difficult, but if we play at this level, like we did against Manchester City, we will be fine.”
