Suspected bandits have attacked Bayan Dutsi village in Tofa district of Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State, injuring three people and abducting several others.
The attack happened around 10:15 p.m. on September 22, when the gunmen stormed the community, shooting indiscriminately.
Zagazola Makama said sources confirmed that three residents were injured while many others were taken away.
According to sources, joint troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA and the Civilian Protection Guards quickly moved to the scene after receiving a distress call.
The injured were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Security forces, the sources added, have launched efforts to rescue the abducted victims and restore calm in the community.
Recall that a few weeks back,bandits attacked worshippers during the early morning prayer in Dansadau, Zamfara State, on Sunday, abducting several people.
