Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has approved the appointment of new Permanent Secretaries to strengthen the state’s civil service and enhance policy implementation.
The announcement was contained in a circular dated September 23, 2025, signed by the Head of Service, Mr Bode Agoro, with reference number CIR/HOS/’25/Vol.I/069.
The circular, addressed to top government functionaries including the Deputy Governor, the Speaker of the House of Assembly, the Chief Judge, Commissioners, and Local Government Chairpersons, explained that the move was aimed at “reinvigorating the state’s policy implementation apparatus” and boosting service delivery.
The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are:
Dr Olufemi Motunolani Omololu – Chief Medical Officer, Health Service Commission (Island Maternity)
Mrs Omotayo Layemo Sanni – Principal/Director, Education District IV
Mrs Monsurat Titilope Alaka – Director, Finance & Accounts, LASUTH
Mr Muhammed Tijani Babatunde Onigbanjo – Director, Admin. & HR, Office of the Chief of Staff
Mr Olutokunbo Olayode Oyenuga – Director, Civil Engineering, Office of Infrastructure
Mr Rafiu Olawale Ojikutu – Director, Admin. & HR, Motor Vehicle Administration Agency
Mr Olufemi Bamidele Paseda – Principal/Director, Education District III
Mrs Oluwakemi Amudat Adedeji – Director, Admin. & HR, Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget
Dr Adesola Ayodele Pitan – Chief Medical Officer, Health Service Commission
Mr Agoro called on all relevant ministries, departments, and agencies to accord the announcement wide publicity and extend full cooperation to the newly appointed officials in the discharge of their duties.
