Police in Jigawa State have arrested a 50-year-old drug trafficker, in Gujungu market, Taura Local Government.
Spokesman of the command SP Lawan Shiisu Adam confirmed this in a statement issued to DAILY POST.
He said, On 21/09/2025 at about 2000hrs, police operatives in Gujungu town intercepted the suspect, one Fati Bala of Unguwar Kwari, a female, in possession of 40 bottles of “suck and die.
He said preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect is strongly suspected to be a drug dealer who specializes in the distribution of harmful substances within the area.
The statement added that in continuation of its raid of black spots of criminals across the state, police also on Monday raided criminal hideouts in Dutse and Sara towns, where three more suspected drug barons were arrested.
During the raid, a large quantity of illicit substances were recovered, including a block and 69 wraps of dry leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, 595 pieces of D5, 132 pieces of Exol, 61 pieces of Tramadol, 30 pieces of rubber solution, 08 pieces of diazepam, 17 pieces of lara, bottles of suck and die, a long knife, and cash of #8,080.
All the suspects are in custody and will be prosecuted after investigations are concluded.

Suspected female drug dealer, others arrested in Jigawa
