Remo Stars defender Leonard Ngenge has credited his impressive performance in the CAF Champions League clash against US Zilimadjou to the support he received from the club.
Ngenge scored the opening goal for the Sky Blue Stars in their 4-0 victory over US Zilimadjou at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena, Abeokuta, on Sunday.
Ebuka Anthony, Adama Goita and Samson Olasupo were also on the scoresheet for the Sky Blue Stars.
Ngenge assured fans of an even better performance in the reverse fixture.
“I’m excited to score on my debut, it’# actually not an individual performance. The support from the coach, players and the supporters was massive, you all should expect better performance from me in the next game,” Ngenge told the club’s media.
Remo Stars will face US Zilimadjou again in the second leg at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena, Abeokuta, on Friday.
