NFF celebrates Chiamaka Nnadozie on Ballon d’Or feat ​

The Nigeria Football Federation has celebrated Super Eagles goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie for her remarkable feat at the 2025 Ballon d’Or award.

Recall that Nnadozie finished fourth in the women’s Goalkeeper of the Year category on Monday night.

The award was won by Chelsea and England goalkeeper, Hannah Hampton.

Nnadozie, meanwhile, made history as the first Nigerian to be nominated for the prestigious award.

Reacting, NFF, in a statement by its General Secretary, Dr Mohammed Sanusi, on Tuesday, also expressed confidence that the Brighton goalkeeper will win the award very soon.

“Congratulations to @NGSuper_Falcons safe hands Chiamaka Nnadozie on her fourth-place finish at this year’s Ballon d’Or Ceremony,” NFF’s statement partly read.

“We heartily congratulate Chiamaka Nnadozie on her fourth-place finish in the race.

“It is a commendable feat given the calibre of goalkeepers she was up against. We believe in her capacity to win this trophy very soon.”

Meanwhile, Super Falcons head coach, Justine Madugu, finished fourth in the Coach of the Year category, which was won by Three Lionesses of England head coach Sarina Wiegman.
