President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday called on Nigerians to focus on farming and industrial growth as a pathway to national development.
In his nationwide broadcast marking Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary, the President said citizens must take responsibility for building a stronger economy by making use of the country’s natural and human resources.
“Let us farm our land, let us build our factories, let us promote the arts, and weld them into a vibrant, ever-growing economy. None of this is beyond our capacity,” Tinubu declared.
He called for unity among Nigerians, stressing that religious and ethnic differences should not stand in the way of national progress. According to him, the country’s diversity should serve as a source of strength.
Tinubu also reaffirmed his government’s commitment to improving infrastructure, creating jobs, and ensuring food security. He assured that sacrifices made by citizens would not be in vain, promising a more prosperous future for the nation.
