Ex-PDP North West Chairman, Ibrahim Manzo Quits Party

Alhaji Ibrahim Manzo, former North-West Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kebbi State, has formally announced his resignation from the party.

Manzo, who has a long political career, previously served as Commissioner for Health, Commissioner for Agriculture, Amirul Hajj of Kebbi State, and was also a governorship candidate under the Democratic Peoples Party (DPP).

In a letter dated September 16, 2025, and addressed to the PDP Ward Chairman in Dikko Ward, Argungu Local Government Area, Manzo explained that his decision to leave the party was a personal one, reached after careful reflection. Copies of the letter were also circulated to the PDP chairmen at both the local government and state levels.

“I write to formally inform you of my resignation from the PDP with immediate effect. My decision is personal and based on careful consideration. I sincerely appreciate the support, cooperation, and kindness I have enjoyed from the party, its leadership, and members during my time as a member,” Manzo stated in th letter.
