PDP Chieftain Bode George Speaks on Gov Mbah’s Defection to APC

Bode George, a senior figure in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has expressed surprise at the defection of Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

George made the remarks on Tuesday during an interview.

He admitted that he never anticipated Mbah’s move, despite numerous efforts by party elders to retain him.

“I never saw it coming. In fact, when Anyanwu was reinstated as secretary to complete his assignment, he even instructed his people not to attend meetings,” George said.

According to Politics Nigeria, Governor Mbah officially confirmed his departure from the PDP on Tuesday.

While wishing Mbah well in his new political journey, George emphasised that the PDP remains strong despite the recent wave of defections.
