JUST IN: Court grants bail to Sowore, Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer

A Kuje Magistrate Court on Friday, October 24, granted bail to Omoyele Sowore, the publisher of Sahara Reporters and Aloy Ejimakor, the counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The court Magistrate, Abubakar Umar Sai’I’d also granted bail to Kanu’s younger brother, Prince Emmanuel and 10 other protesters who were arrested for participating in the Monday, October 20, #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest in Abuja.

The conditions listed by the court for the release of the defendants include the sum of N500,000 each and a submission of their verified National Identification Number (NIN) to the registrar of the court.

The defendants have also been mandated to present their three-year tax clearance certificates and submit their passports to the court.
