He claimed that he had gotten into a cab without realising that the people inside were actually kidnappers. He got into the car and started the trip in spite of the danger. The victim claimed that after driving a while, the driver abruptly pulled over, pulled out a revolver, and demanded that he give over all he owned. The victim battled with the attackers, refusing to obey without resistance.

Another car happened to be driving by during the altercation, and its occupants became aware of the questionable behaviour. They made the hasty decision to step in. The kidnappers panicked and ran away when they saw the automobile approaching. “It happened along Guba Express way, but the main incident where they drop me was close to where they sell cars when going to Usse,” the victim said, describing the makeup of the group. “They were three guys and one lady.”

“There were no bodies, everyone was just passing, if not for the other car that stopped and flashed light before they ran away, and besides I acted as if I had fainted so They could live me,” he said in response to a question about whether there were any police officers or onlookers present during the incident. The victim clarified that he purposefully pretended to be unconscious in order to give the attackers the impression that he was no longer a threat. This increased the likelihood that he would be left alone until assistance came. He also revealed terrifying information about one of the abductors, whom he firmly thought was connected to the driver.

The victim stated, “I firmly believe that was the driver’s son, who should have been about 17 years old, and he was the one who stabbed me in the back.” The young man pulled out a jackknife and tried to cut his throat, he said. “He pulled out a jack knife and began cutting my throat, but fortunately it didn’t penetrate, and I understand why,” he recalled.
