His death has been confirmed by Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife. The terrible event took place at his parents’ home in Ejigbo, Osun State, on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
Abiodun Olarewaju, a spokesman for the college, claims that Ajibola, whose matriculation number was DEN/2021/023, was told he would have to retake the school year. He reportedly became depressed after hearing this news, which followed the announcement of his most recent results. The whole family, including his father, a doctor, is reportedly inconsolable. The loss was deeply felt by Vice Chancellor Prof. Simeon Bamire, who described Ajibola as a bright young student. He pleaded with parents and peers to refrain from placing undue pressure on pupils who are struggling academically and encouraged them to see setbacks as temporary.
