The Edo State Police Command’s spokesperson, Moses Yamu, disclosed this via a statement he released.
Coy about the identity of the suspect, the statement said he was arrested alongside three other accomplices for acts of armed robbery, brutality and extortion.
Yamu related that their apprehension stemmed from a viral video in which a victim accused some policemen of abducting him, seizing his phone and belongings, while subjecting him to harassment.
What was to follow, according to the spokesperson was police investigation into the claim, which resulted in the arrest of the four men, with a silver coloured Toyota Yaris and other incriminating items caught with them on 15th August 2025.
Yamu stated that the officer, an inspector in the police force, was arrested alongside three civilian accomplices, adding that the suspects would face the full weight of the law….CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
