BREAKING: FG to honour Yobe students who emerged world champions

The Federal Government has announced plans to honour three students from Yobe State who emerged world champions in different academic categories at the 2025 TeenEagle Global Finals held in London, United Kingdom….CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

According to statement from the Office of the Director, Press and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Education, said the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, has invited the Yobe State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education to lead the state delegation to the recognition ceremony.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, 28th August 2025, at the Minister’s Conference Hall, Federal Ministry of Education Headquarters, Abuja.

The award-winning students are Nafisa Abdullahi– World Champion in English Skills, Rukayya Mohammed Fema – World Champion in Debate, and Hafiza Kashim Kalli– World Champion, Outstanding Talent Award

The Ministry noted that the students triumphed over more than 20,000 participants from 69 countries, including native English-speaking nations. Their victory was described as both “a personal milestone and a national honour.”

According to the Ministry, the success of the Yobe students stands as a testament to brilliance, discipline, and the unwavering support of parents, teachers, and the community.

The Federal Government stressed that this historic achievement will remain etched in Nigeria’s educational history.
