BREAKING NEWS: Reaction of Ohanaeze Ndigbo to Bola Tinubu’s Naming of INEC Headquarters in Honour of Humphrey Nwosu

This view was stated by Dr. Ezechi Chukwu, National Publicity Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, in response to President Tinubu’s June 12 speech in which he presented the late Nwosu with a national honour.

Prof. Nwosu oversaw the historic June 12, 1993, presidential election, which is generally considered to be Nigeria’s most free and fair and was won by Chief Moshood Abiola, according to Vanguard, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). President Tinubu presented Prof. Nwosu with the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) award during his Democracy Day speech on Thursday. He also emphasised the nation’s persistent economic difficulties, pointing out that Nigerians are still beset by high living expenses, inflation, and fluctuating exchange rates. He asserts that the burden on citizens has not yet been lessened by federal government changes. Citing the little authority state governors have over the security sector, Dr. Chukwu emphasised the necessity of fundamental restructuring to solve both economic and security challenges. He maintained that devolution of power, resource control, and true federalism would promote healthy state rivalry and boost national development.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
