This was disclosed by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Bianca Ojukwu, on X (formerly Twitter).

According to Bianca Ojukwu, she visited the hospital where the clergyman, battling critical health issues, was detained.

The minister revealed that the clergyman was accused by a Beninese woman, Pede Victoire, of raping her 13-year-old daughter, Ahouandjinou Dona Sarah.

However, in a surprising turn, the victim later refuted the claim, currently under appeal.
