Driven by his religion and a strong sense of what was right, Okoro stood by his decision even though many people labelled him a “fool” and a “mumu” (a Nigerian pidgin slang for a foolish person) for being honest.

Okoro described the moment he found a carpenter’s bag full of cash in the back of his Keke in an interview on the Lucky Udu Experience. His initial idea was to track down the owner, which put him at odds with a culture that believes “finder’s keepers” is the norm, particularly when such a significant sum of money is at stake.

“Everyone on the internet is calling this man a very foolish man because he decided to return it back to the owner after finding ₦4 million in his Keke,” he added.
