JUST-IN: After 5 Kids, 12 Grandkids, Australian Woman Finds Love in Nigerian, Becomes Mum of Twins at 56

A heartwarming and controversial story is making waves online as 56-year-old Angela Peters, an Australian grandmother to 12, gives birth to twin daughters after tying the knot with a much younger Nigerian man…CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

The emotional journey, reported by Eyes of Lagos, has sparked widespread discussion, with some unsure whether to call her “granny” or “mummy.”

Angela, already a mother of five, made a bold choice in 2019 by ending her long-term marriage, claiming years of unhappiness. Instead of retreating, she embraced a new phase — filled with love, IVF, and motherhood — all at an age many would consider unconventional.

From online chats to real-life romance, Angela ventured into online dating in 2020, where she met Emeka, a Nigerian man. But it was Emeka’s brother, Bright, who truly stole her heart after she saw him in a family photo. She described the feeling as instant and overwhelming, saying, “I knew right away he was the one.”

Their long-distance romance blossomed through hours of daily calls, despite living in separate countries — Angela in Australia, Bright in South Africa. When they finally met in Nigeria in 2021, Bright proposed on the first day, and they married just over a week later.

Although her family expressed doubts — with some fearing she’d fallen for a scam — Angela stayed true to her heart, and Bright remained equally committed.

Becoming a mum again at 56 Angela had believed her parenting days were behind her, but Bright, never having had children, longed to be a dad. Despite her age and being perimenopausal, Angela explored IVF. However, Australia’s age restrictions prevented treatment past 52.

Refusing to give up, the couple found a Nigerian fertility clinic willing to help. Using a donor egg and Bright’s sperm, they began their journey. In December 2023, they learned they were expecting twins.

Angela gave birth to healthy twin girls — Khorus and Knowyn — in August 2024. At 56, she embraced late-stage motherhood with enthusiasm, handling diapers, bottles, and night feeds once again.

Mixed emotions Angela’s story, now viral thanks to TikTok and her daughter’s encouragement, has received a mix of admiration and backlash.

Critics labeled her decision selfish due to her age, while supporters hailed her as a symbol of courage and hope. Angela responded, “Nobody bats an eye when men have kids at 60. This is my life and my happiness.”

Though people often assume she’s the twins’ grandmother, Angela takes it in stride, knowing her story has deepened her family’s bond.

A Journey of Love and Courage Angela wants her experience to inspire others — especially women who feel they’ve missed their chance at love or motherhood.

“Never stop believing,” she urges. “I took a leap of faith across continents, trusted my heart, and now I have a full home and an even fuller heart.”…CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
