A tragic incident at a wedding in northern Turkey has resulted in the death of the 23-year-old groom, who was reportedly hit by celebratory gunfire.
The state news agency Anadolu reported that the groom, identified only as Ali K., was being escorted home with his new wife when he was wounded.
Authorities have detained a 47-year-old female relative of the bride in connection with the shooting.
According to the report, two unlicensed pistols were found in her garden, and prosecutors have opened an investigation.
