Nigerian gospel preacher Ebuka Hillary Emmanuel, better known online as Ebuka Songs, has issued a public apology to the Christian community and all those affected by his contentious livestream featuring Habeeb Hamzat (Peller), a TikTok personality. Following his live performance with Peller, the singer had already drawn criticism from a number of Christians, including Pastor Kesiena Esiri, the founder of the Remnant Christian Network. When a video appeared of Peller visiting Ebuka’s house and being seen speaking in tongues and making prophesies, the outcry intensified.

The controversy was further stoked by Ebuka’s response to Pastor Esiri’s comments, which sparked intense emotions and kept the topic trending for days. In a recent development, a fresh video of Ebuka Songs formally apologising went viral online. He addressed church leaders, his followers around the world, and anybody else who was offended by the occurrence in his statement.
